I've been a working student and have trained at many barns around Atlanta, including EqSport International, Windsor Stables, and I currently train with Carolyn Duncan. I am a junior at North Atlanta High School, I ride 4-6x a week.
I currently compete in the 3' with my 13 y/o thoroughbred mare I started leasing in Aug 2023. I have also helped to develop many young thoroughbred and quarter horse hunters. I am extremely passionate about riding in college. I have experience as a working student and as an IEA team captain. I enjoy grooming, sweeping, and scooping just as much as being in the show ring. My leadership experience and enthusiasm for the equestrian sport will be an asset to any team. I've never had the money to have my own horse or show on the rated circuit every month, so I've had to be creative in getting experience and finding opportunities. I have 6 years of experience getting to the barn, being told what horse I'm riding, tacking up, and getting in the ring. My experience on lesson horses and catch riding gives me an advantage over riders who have ridden the same horse for much of their career. I am excited to find the perfect school and team and continue this chapter in my life! |
